Miss Nepal 2011

I didn't watch them Miss Nepal thing on TV and I don't know much about them contestants either... but some folks are going around Facebook saying bad stuff about our new Miss Nepal. She is ugly rey.... abuh kaslai beautiful seautiful bhanney?

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" ki kay bhancha ni... tyo hamro dai Plato ko die-log batuh liyeko ho kya... what Plato said was "Remember how in that communion only, beholding beauty with the eye of the mind, he will be enabled to bring forth, not images of beauty, but realities (for he has hold not of an image but of a reality), and bringing forth and nourishing true virtue to become the friend of God and be immortal, if mortal man may."

I guess the guy who thinks she is ugly should also post his pictures and let folks decide if he's fair n hensum hola ni. I think Manila Joshi should not worry about them so-called beautiful Kathmanduites who think this year's Miss Nepal had no beautiful women! Stop watching Fashion TV and them Desi 'item' numbers kya!

Them previous Miss Nepals haroo bhanda tuh naya wallah is smart ni. At least this one's doing her MBA and wants to be a filmmaker. And finally we have someone outside the valley winning the crown.. the last one was Usha Khadgi from Birgunj, tyo pani back in 2000!

And many folks were complaining about how them event-wallahs sucked... nothing new, hamra event-wallahs still need to learn a thing or two about how to organize them events efficiently kya. No wonder, most of them corporate events here in Kathmandu are managed by them Desis.

I don't know how them event planners screw it up ... I guess they don't do no rehearsals and don't test them sound systems and what not before the event hola. Ani kahiley mic naw-chal-ney kahiley sound thulo hoonay, kahiley MC gayeb etiyaadi... hehe!

I feel sorry for our Miss Nepals.... they don't make crores like them Desi-nis. Hidden Treasure has been organizing this event since 1994... and they still can't get it right (when it comes to them show!)... hehe!

Just because you have a cute face or you are fair and lovely doesn't make one a beautiful person kya. Malina Joshi is not a music-video prancing around kinda girl and her dream is not to be an air-hostess hehe! She's a smart and beautiful lady and we hope that one day she will be a successful filmmaker as well.

She gets to go to them Miss World contest... hope she does better than our previous contestants. And she will be them WWF ambassador for a year kyaaruh.... enjoy it but don't hang out with them party crowd and don't fall for them 'slimy' byapari boyfriend like our past three Miss Nepals... hehe!

I really find them beauty pageants funny but Miss Nepal chahi hoo-noo parcha... but no Miss Global, Miss Air-Hostess, Miss Terai and Miss Mountain etiyaadi yee sabai chai ali bakwaas nai ho kya.

Baroo them Hidden Treasure wallahs should get one winner from all them 75 districts and then narrow it down to 14 finalists , one from each anchals and then run a one-month long campaign.... SMS voting soting (yes, charge Rs 5 per SMS!) and then do a 50-50, fans/judges voting and declare them winner kya.

Ani.... SMS ko paisa lay baroo sabai contestant like pad-naw ko laagi scholarship diye hooncha ni... ki kaso?
