Guzaarish ....

Some folks think Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a genius, some call him a 'JackAss' (I have no idea why.. .maybe he rubbed them off the wrong way hola!)

I have always loved his movies! For me, 'Khamosi' is his best movie ever... and really that 'Naked Guy' Salmaan and his Ex- Ash daarling movie was okay but if Bhansali had his way (well, he does anyway!) then he would have made it more darker hola!

The story is okay... in them movies but it's them set-wet hola, them production ko kharcha that makes a 'Bhansali' movie stand out. DevDas, Saawariya ... you spend the whole tyam not really watching them actors but the whole set stuff.. and wonder 'How much did they spend for them lights or them stair-cases and what not!' ... hehehe!

Guzaarish is a good movie... errr.. it's a great movie if you are a big fan of them 'European Arty Stuff' kyaaruh! But we have to blame Amitabh Bacchan for screwing up the whole 'sophisticated' look of our Bollywood leading actors by starring in them 'Angry Young Man' Pure-Desi films!

Until them 70s, them Heroes always dressed up like some British Lord ko beta and them Heroines were no less than them 'Audrey Hepburn' -type style-wyle ni!

Then came, Amitabh, the lanky planky from Allahabad and his 'Angry Young Man' natak and then Bollywood changed... no more 'Western' looks and stuff, it was then pure 'Desi Ghee' ... with all them 'bash them up and speak if you never been to school' natak.. hahah!

Nothing wrong with that. Amitabh is the man and will always be... the one!

And before somebody turned off the lights, Bhansali came in! We have to thank him for bringing back some color and flavor. Yes, Western cooking sooking, food sood is bland but sometimes it's better than eating them curry-fied foods ni!

Guzaarish is a good movie.... although I still find something missing.... maybe few nearly-love scenes between the Magician and the Nurse.... you don't have to do a Meg Ryan thing ... maybe the Nurse singing a lullaby to put him to sleep and the Magician resting his head on the Nurse ko chest sest ma...

Oops.. what am I saying? Hope I don't sound like a pervert or a desperado or something! heheh!

Anyways, the movie flopped rey! I don't know ... maybe twenty years down the road... they will be selling like 10 million DVDs a year.. and hope Ronnie Screwvala won't think he got screwed on this one.. hehe! Ronnie .. please get yourself some Guru, Swami, Baba.. and change your name to 'Hitvala' ... maybe that might help!

I give Guzaarish ... A- (because Bhansali knows what he wants and gets to do whatever he wants...heheh) ... Next tyam, please cast Abhay Deol and KonKona Sen... will save the producers .. like 30corores... and we can see some 'real' characters ni...
