Bankruptcy in 2014 ?

According to our dailies, NEA (No Electricity Authority) has declared that it would go bankrupt in the next 4 years rey!

Heheh... and the other day, we read about 'Load Shedding to continue for next 5 years' ... so if NEA cease to exist in 2014 then I guess that extra year will be like 'free electricity' for us hola ni!

What went wrong? Everything ... ever since our great 'Kangaroos' aka Congressis came to power in the 90s.. they started the so-called 'economic reform' see-form policies which was great but at the same time, the public enterprises became a looting ground and 'free jobs' for their cadres!

The 'looting' game continues to this day, be it them UML or Maoist or the Madeshi leaders... It's all about destroying the state institutions while making billions for themselves!

NEA's total loss so far is around 19 billion Rupees! This year alone, they incurred a loss of over Rs 5 billion rey! Wow... every year our 'Load Shedding Company' loses around 80 million US$ a year!

According to our sources, 30% of our bijuli chahi waste hooncha rey.. due to leakages and mostly because of them theft ... naango taar ma line jod-chan hamraa daju bhai haroo! And of course, not to forget billions of Rupees in Gho-tala when it comes to them tender-sender contracts!

NEA, NOC, NTC... these buffoons get bonuses every year... so that they can lose more money hola! Probably the only place on Earth where you get rewarded for losing money.. hahaha!

If we were to collect all the bribes and what not from all the NEA hakims, Energy Ministers and NEA employees then NEA will probably have more than a billion dollars rey! Then it can pay off its debt, invest in new hydro power projects and what not!

But this is Nepal... no check and balance ni.... only Balance the books somehow, show them losses and use our taxpayers' money to pay off them thousands of employees at NEA, NOC, NTC, NAC .... and nearly every other PEs!

Yestai ho.. hai... So when 2015 comes, we will have no electricty, no fuel , no water... but don't worry about telecom.. thank God at least we have NCell, UTL and other small players around!

The only reason NCell and other players are in the field is because our so-called 'evil king' Gyanu Uncle did his son-in-law a favor ... hehehe... maybe we need Gyanu Uncle back for few more years (only!) so that he can introduce other players to battle NOC, NAC and NEA as well!

I don't care ... may Prakash Dahal get billions, may Paras Raja make another billion... but in the long run... we the consumer may benefit somehow!

Yes, sometimes we need to make a deal with the devil... that's what our politicians have been doing since 2007 B.S. ... but instead of we, the people getting some benefits... it's only them netas and their cadres, families and ... the Devil... u know who... hoinuh ruh?
