The government has declared the Late Uma Singh a 'journalist martyr'. Her family will receive a million rupees as compensation. If only our law enforcement folks were doing the job, Uma would still be alive today.

as much as I would love to see Prachanda gone, I am glad we have not resorted to assassinations and suicide bombings. the murder and violence prevalent has still been from the maoist affiliated or supporting bodies for the most part. and that is the only reason i see any hope. the power is just in the wrong, undeserving hands. prachande and baburam single-handedly (or double-handedly?) turned the country around to be a conflict- and violence-ridden land. i don't see how the maoists have achieved anything for the country.
